First let me tell you that, as it is the translation of a French blog, I use the metric system for my measurements and all the temperatures are given in Celsius !

New category: I tasted it for you. The idea is to pick up random products that are unknow to me, to taste them, cook them, describe them and give my opinion on them.

Strawberry charlotte and its strawberry sauce

Charlottes are delicious and you can prepare them even if you don't have any oven. You have to prepare it the day before, because it needs to rest.


STRAWBERRY CHARLOTTE

Ingredients
20 to 25 ladyfinger cookies 
20 cl milk
1 soup spoon vanilla extract
500 g strawberries
250 g heavy cream
2 sachets Chantifix
100 g sugar

Preparation
In a plate, bring together the milk and the vanilla extract. Soak the biscuits with it. Put them in a Charlotte mould, first the sides and then the bottom.
Wash the strawberries. Cut them in 4.
Bring together the sugar and the Chantifix.
In a salad bowl, beat the cream (which must be very cold) for 1 minute. Add the sugar mixture. Continue to beat until you obtain a firm cream. Gently add the strawberries. Pour this mixture in the mould. Flatten the surface. Place a plate above. Put in the fridge for ONE NIGHT.
Unmold when serving. Serve with the fresh strawberry sauce.

Note: adapt the quantities to the size of your mould. It must be completely full so that it stays fine.

STRAWBERRY SAUCE

Ingredients
Icing sugar
Strawberries
Some lemon juice

Preparation
Blend everything together. Adapt de proportions to the taste you want to obtain. Store in the fridge.
