Here is a challenge I wanted to try: make spring rolls. It’s not exactly easy, but it’s always fun to try new things.
I must say I had a hard time rolling them! It’d a true technique! I recommend you make small rolls, it’s easier (no more than 4 elements). You better prepare more of them.
Ingredients (for 8 rolls)
8 rice papers
300 g chicken meat
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 garlic clove
1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
+ nuoc mam sauce
Cut the chicken and the vegetable in thin sticks. Add salt and pepper to the chicken, brown it 5-10 min in a frying pan, add chilli powder.
Press the garlic and the lemon, bring together, stir, add salt and coriander. Add the vegetables.
Here is the difficult part: moisten the rice paper, put some chicken and vegetables at one side and roll. It must be compact, but you mustn’t break the leaf. Store in the fridge until serving.
Serve fresh with nuoc mam sauce.
