Welcome in my blog !
First let me tell you that, as it is the translation of a French blog, I use the metric system for my measurements and all the temperatures are given in Celsius !

New category: I tasted it for you. The idea is to pick up random products that are unknow to me, to taste them, cook them, describe them and give my opinion on them.

Enjoy !

Minced meat with shallots (variation of the French bavette à l’échalote)

The Bavette à l’échalote is a typical French recipe. However, this recipe is a bit different: it adapts the recipe with mince meat. It doesn’t seem like much, but it is delicious.

You will find the purée recipe here. The two recipes really go well together.

Ingredients (for 4 people)
500 g beef mince meat
6 shallots
15 cl red wine
2 eggs
50 g breadcrumbs (4-5 French toasts)
+ Ingredients for the purée

Chop the shallots and brown them in butter (I don’t exactly do a diet blog). Then add the red wine and let simmer for about 10 min.
Meanwhile, bring together the mince meat, the eggs and the breadcrumbs. Mix well, add the shallots, salt and pepper.
Put in 4 circles (see the picture), make it compact, and put 10 min in the oven at 180°C.
Meanwhile, make the puree.
Serve with puree and green salad.

Bon appétit!!!
