New category: I tasted it for you. The idea is to pick up random products that are unknow to me, to taste them, cook them, describe them and give my opinion on them.

Lamb curry with tomato and carrot

Here is a lamb recipe. Delicious and spicy.


Ingredients (for 4 people)
300 g lamb's meat in cubes
1 piece of ginger
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1 onion
1 shallot
1 garlic clove
2 carrots
1 tomato
1 soup spoon curry (in powder)
50 g raisins
+ Basmati rice and cashew

Preparation
Put the raisins in water.
Peel and grate the ginger. In a salad bowl, bring together the ginger, the chilli powder and the cumin; add the lamb. Put salt and pepper and leave to rest.
Meanwhile, peel and chop the onion, the garlic and the shallot. Grate the carrot and cut the tomato in dices.
In a sauté pan, heat up oil and add the curry, the onion, the garlic and the shallot. Cook for 5 min, add the meat, cook 5 more minutes. Add the vegetables, the raisins and 3 soup spoons water. If necessary, add salt and pepper. Cover and simmer in low heat for 15 min. Stir from time to time. (Add some water if it's going to burn).
Serve with rice and cashew.
