Welcome in my blog !
First let me tell you that, as it is the translation of a French blog, I use the metric system for my measurements and all the temperatures are given in Celsius !

New category: I tasted it for you. The idea is to pick up random products that are unknow to me, to taste them, cook them, describe them and give my opinion on them.

Enjoy !

Hot chocolate with spices

Sometimes, you deserve a treat, and what’s better than a true hot chocolate. Forget your powdered cocoa and pick up true chocolate. Believe me, you will fill the difference!

For the spices, there are two solutions: use powdered spices (like a gingerbread mix). The drawback is that you feel the powder when you drink the chocolate. So I receommend you use whole spices and a tea infuser. You have the choice: nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, cloves, corn pepper, star anise...

100 dark g chocolate
A mix of spices (see above)
50 cl milk
Whipped cream
2 soup spoons sugar
Cocoa powder to decorate

Heat up the milk with spices in a saucepan. When it starts boiling, put in a bowl and infuse for 10 min with the spices.
Meanwhile, melt the chocolate. When the milk is ready, remove the spices (with a Chinese strainer if necessary), add the chocolate and stir well. Add the sugar. Pour in a mug, add pepper, whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa powder. Serve immediately.

Bon appétit !!
