I wanted to roast a chicken, so I decided to try this “Inavouable” recipe that I had read somewhere. It’s easy to do, you just need to wait for the chicken to be ready. You can serve it to children: after 1 hour in the oven, the alcohol has disappeared, it is just here to give some colour and flavour to the chicken!
I served this chicken with Mafaldine pasta, vegetables and tapenade.
1 whole chicken
33 cl beer
Put salt and pepper on the chicken, put some butter on the back (for the colour), put in a gratin dish and pour the beer on the chicken.
Bake in the oven at 180° for about 1 hour for a 1 kilo chicken. (If the chicken is bigger, you may need more time!). From time to time, collect the beer from the dish with a spoon and pour back on the chicken.
Serve with pasta or French fries
If you don’t want to use beer, you can replace it with water.
