This dish doesn't look like much, but it really is delicious. Bitter-sweet, with a chicken that tastes slightly like caramel, really nice. It is the perfect recipe if you are a beginner of the wok cooking. (If you don't have a wok, a sauté pan will do).
The chicken must marinate for 20 min.
Ingredients (for 2 people)
300 g chicken meat (without skin)
1 soup spoon soya sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoon corn flour
125 ml stock
3 chopped spring onions
3 soup spoons olive oil
1 soup spoons cherry (optional)
150 g beansprouts
Cut the chicken in slices, mix the soya sauce the sugar and 1 teaspoon corn flour. Let the chicken marinate for 20 min.
Brown the onions in some oil, put them on a side of the pan and brown the chicken. Add the cherry, the beansprouts, the stock and the rest of the corn flour.
Stir well and let cook in a wok or sauté pan until the mixture gets thicker (about 10 min). You can add some soya sauce to give more perfume.
Check if it is necessary to add salt (I didn't).
You can serve it like that, or prepare some rice.
