I served this rice with a fish. This Indian recipe is slightly spicy and really original.
Ingredients (for 4 people)
500 g basmati rice
100 ml lemon juice
1 small piece of grated ginger or 1 teaspoon of ginger in powder
1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1 soup spoon coriander leaves
Oil or ghee
15 curry leaves or 4 bay leaves
Cook the rice.
In a sauce pan, put the mustard seeds to make them explode. Stop the heat and add the other spices and the lemon juice. When the rice is ready and drained, add the spices and stir well.
Decorate with coriander before serving.
