The risotto is a great meal: delicious, and you can easily change the flavours. This is an idea among others.
Ingredients (for 4 people)
200g round rice
500g tinned peas
100g cooked ham
30g grated parmesan
Salt, pepper and oil
Chop the onion, brown it in oil. Cut the ham in dices and bring it with the onions. Cook 2-3 min. set aside. Brown the rice until it is translucid. Add the stock ladle by ladle and let the rice absorb the liquid little by little. Put the onion and ham back in the middle of the cooking time (9 min), add salt and pepper. Cook on low heat during 18 min in total and watch all the time, add stock if necessary. Add the drained peas at the last minute. Mix well and serve immediately. Serve with parmesan.
The risotto is a last minute dish: it doesn’t like to wait, to be reheated … Keep that in mind.
